So what is the 22- Day Health Challenge?
Valerie Lunden facilitates the Health Challenge 4-5 times a year on Facebook. The Health Challenge series is intended to help people manage their wellness goals and to stay focused on their health for longer then the average diet program.
The Challenge objective is continuous good health for a lifetime. Even during the best of times, sticking to a diet, exercise, or wellness program can be difficult. Google estimates that there are 183,000,000 hits for the term “exercise,” and 19,700,000 hits for the term “diet.” These numbers are subject to change daily. In general, most of these programs work, but the fail rate is so high because focus is lost when life issues get in the way. Any weight lost or health objective met is often a fleeting experience.
The Challenge uses 22-day "SPURTS" of FOCUS. During this time the goal is to participate in healthy activities that promote a "feel good," stay focused on wellness attitude.
This series of continuous, SHORT DURATION intervals promotes long term healthy behaviors. Enough time to begin a diet, start an exercise routine or kick an unhealthy habit such as eliminating caffeine or eating too much salt.
