Dear Friends & Visitors:

 

If you've been banging your head against the wall trying to lose weight but can't seem to get ahead or keep the weight off, I know exactly what you are going through.

 

Maybe this scenario sounds familiar. Ten pounds lost in 1992, then gained back. Twenty pounds lost in 2004, then gained back. Whether I ate fewer calories, high protein meals, drank "power" shakes or ate "special foods," I always arrived at the same place, and in recent years, I gained even more weight then ever before.

 

As soon as I stopped random dieting I began to focus on the real possibilities that come from weight loss and having an improved health focus.


I awakened to the fact that I ate more then I burned in caloric energy. My activities where minimal. I did not enjoy rigorous exercise. My food choices were random, even when I was on a diet. Between work, family and friends my life was rich with social engagements and revolved around food events.


The most eye-opening discovery was that I had bad food habits, that included eating too many decadent foods that were rich in fat and limited in fiber.

In general, I was lazy when it came to my own health management, and most of the time I forgot I was even on a diet, which ultimately resulted in me gaining more weight.

 

During the past, so much money had been poured into fads, special foods and diet books.

 

I Did the Math

After loosing and gaining so many pounds and inches, I calculated that I had given out more money to health promoters then I had lost in actual weight or peace of mind.

 

That infamous clock was also ticking. I was getting older and my metabolism was slowing, and all of that weight loss effort of the past had resulted in nothing more then an unhappy state, larger clothes sizes and poor health.

It was only after the final food drama episode that I discovered a better way to pay attention and manage my health focus.

 

So far thirty pounds lost, but this time I have held my weight steady for more then two years. The true reward has been an unwavering commitment to better health.

No more yo-yo diets or following food plans that I could not manage for a lifetime.
